We discuss various contributions relevant to the measurements
of B->rho pi decays and of the CKM unitarity angle alpha.
In particular, we evaluate the effects of the light sigma
resonance as well as those of the heavy mesons B^* and B_0.
We point out the importance of using consistent form factors
for the rho and sigma contributions.
We also discuss factors that may reduce the heavy meson
effects.
