Welcome to my world!
Jeanette the Iconist

Hi! I hope I've managed to make a somewhat interesting experience for you. First of all, here are some links to my other web pages:
Pictures of my life * my cat Garfield's page * recipes * links at some point an icon downloading page....

What will I offer here? Well, stuff like this:

  • Custom Icons for You -- Iconist for hire!
If you want custom-made, high-quality icons or larger web graphics, just ask me to make some! I don't charge much, and I enjoy my work. My specialty is rollover web graphics, where the icon appears to "react" as the cursor runs across it. And I will be happy to send over samples of what I can do....

Graphic samples are here , here and here.
  • Miscellaneous icons -- The ever-growing collection!
(I haven't gotten them online yet. However, there will be a link to download them at some point, so check back!)
  • Simpsoid icons (This should be blinking for most browsers. Isn't it annoying? Okay, I won't do it again.)

So anyway, I make lots of icons and web graphics. That's what I do. That's what people want. Hey, it's a hobby....

My Interest are varied. I like:

  1. Science Fiction -- some examples being....
  2. Television
  3. Music (all kinds except country, rap and heavy metal)
  1. Anime (Japanese animation)
    • Fullmetal Alchemist
    • Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex
    • His & Her Circumstances
    • Wolf's Rain
    • Tenchi Muyo
    • Ranma 1/2
    • Those Who Hunt Elves
    • Vandread
  2. Cats (I adore Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest cats, and long-haired types)
My cat's name is Garfield. He's a Turkish Van breed of cat. That means he's snowy white with a colored tail (in this case black) and colored ears and neck (black again). He's spoiled beyond belief, too!
He even has his own homepage; he insisted on it.... Garfield's Web Page
  3. Animation -- check these shows out if you haven't yet seen them!
    • South Park (the language is colorful, but it's funny!)
    • Daria (MTV Network show)
    • Duckman (Cartoon Network show, waiting for DVDs!)
    • Garfield & Friends (on several years ago, now out in season DVD box sets)
    • Dilbert (Comedy Central, available in series box DVD set)
    • Men in Black, Batman & Superman, Batman Beyond (WB shows)
    • The Real Ghostbusters (Okay, so this one was on years ago, but it's a classic! And J. Michael Strazinsky, the creator of Babylon 5, was an executive producer/writer for this show, which shows why it's SO good!)
  4. Computer animation -- I've watched the following shows....
  5. Movies -- Some favorites being....
    • Shrek movies
    • many Disney animated flicks (especially Mulan!)
    • Independence Day
    • Star Wars trilogy (the original one)
    • Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
    • The Labyrinth (starring David Bowie and the Muppets)
    • The Princess Bride
    • Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (THE greatest comedy of all time!!!)
    • The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao (an old movie with Tony Randall playing 7 different parts--it's cool!)
    • Casanova's Big Night (starring Bob Hope, a favorite comedian)
    • While You Were Sleeping (a classic romantic comedy)
    • The Matrix (an engrossing futuristic scifi tale)
    • X-Men, X-Men 2 (The movies were excellent combinations of characters, drama, action and CGI!)
    • Chocolat (a clever romantic comedy, correctly pronounced "show-koh-LAH")
  6. Comics

An eclectic collection of excellent sites....

WARNING! WARNING!
DO NOT GET AN ADDRESS FROM THE FOLLOWING PLACE: NET ADDRESS. I signed up with them and got what I thought was a "free" account. You should know, nothing in life is free! Evidently online advertisers pay for this place to exist, so that unsuspecting people will sign up for an account, which conveniently provides a place for spammers to find you.... And unfortunately, I had the "usa.net" account forwarding e-mail to my AOL account. Very quickly I was inundated with spamming junk e-mail. It has gotten to where I receive 80% spams versus 20% real e-mail! Because of this, I've had to change my AOL account, so those jerks can't find me anymore. So BEWARE! Never get an e-mail address from NetAddress! If you have an account that ends with "usa.net," don't keep it! And ESPECIALLY don't forward it to another e-mail address!! (This also goes for any "free e-mail web site!)

Google, Mamma, Ixquick, Lycos, Yahoo, Internet Tools and Magellan are some great search engines.
