Lifesong
A souls lifesong begins
with love and peace and tender cries
it emerges on life's great shore
the earth greets lifes' eternal sighs
In its' spring it grows
and learns, and finds lifes' joy
amid the hardship and the trial
curiosity bold and never coy
In its summer it begins again
its' lifesong found in anothers love
and lifes' endless rhyme unfolds
in splendor yet unthought of
In the fall in mellow refrain
it sings the song of wisdoms age
in patient silence it finds all joy
years alone are lifesongs sage
Lifes' winter brings one lone question
for all it feels and all it knows
why must all this swiftly end
amid the curtain of lifesongs snows
A souls lifesong comes to an end
it decends to lifes great shore
and finds its' end eternal day
for lifesong reigns Forevermore
