Sliding House Model

Project 4 was the cumulation of the Revit modeling process learned throughout the semester. For this Project, I focused on the details of the Sliding House, specifically its materials and construction. The architects of the Sliding House used many typical materials in extroadinary ways to create the beautiful residence they desired. Because of this, they were able to keep the overall construction cost fairly low for such a unique home ($253,705). In addition to the use of simple materials, the construction process on this home was a standard residential construction with a wood stud frame, with the exception being the all-glass portion. The continual use of traditional materials, methods, and aesthetics combined with the unique aspect of a sliding cover made the Sliding House a truly remarkable project; one that I am grateful for having been able to study.
