ISU TEXTILE AND CLOTHING STUDENTS TO SHOWCASE WORK OCT. 26
AMES, Iowa Iowa State University textile and clothing students will display their talents at the Textile and Clothing Showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The showcase will be from 3 5 p.m. in LeBaron Lounge of LeBaron Hall. Visitors may vote for their favorite display from 3 p.m. 4:30 p.m.
"This competition allows textile and clothing students to show the many dimensions of their work and of the department," event sponsor Jane Farrell-Beck, university professor of textiles and clothing in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, said. "Anything that can be visualized, from actual clothing to a merchandising plan, is entered."
Entries will be judged by JaneAnn Stout, associate dean of families extension; Pat Redlinger, of Natures Touch Jewelry, Ames; Tim McIlrath, associate professor of art and design; and Priscilla Sage, associate professor of art and design. Students can win several awards from the competition.
About 200 students, faculty, staff and community residents attend the event every year.
