DALY RETURNS TO TEACHING ON JULY 31
AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University's College of Education Dean Norene Daly has announced that she will step down and return to teaching effective on or before July 31, 1996. Daly made the announcement today (June 21).
"I very much appreciate Norene's service and dedication to our College of Education and the University," said President Martin Jischke. "I wish her well as she returns to teaching."
Daly has been dean of the College of Education since 1990. She also is a professor in curriculum and instruction. Daly has researched and published papers on teacher education, multicultural education, education reform, distance education and reading programs. Prior to coming to Iowa State, she was dean of the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton.
Jischke said a national search for a successor to Daly will begin soon.
