Ames Laboratory buildings temporarily locked

AMES, Iowa -- Ames Laboratory buildings are currently locked as a precautionary measure due to attempted unauthorized access by a former employee to one of the Lab's main buildings on the Iowa State University campus.

Ames Laboratory is currently coordinating with the ISU Department of Public Safety. Normal activities continue in all Ames Laboratory buildings.

Pending further review a decision will be made on when to unlock the buildings.

Ames Laboratory is a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science laboratory operated for the DOE by Iowa State University.
