Comedy Central executive to speak at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa - The executive vice president for corporate communications for the cable network Comedy Central is speaking at Iowa State Monday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Sun Room, Memorial Union.

Tony Fox has been with the all-comedy television network since its introduction in 1991, working in media relations and public relations. In 1996, he was promoted to senior vice president of corporate communications. In 2001 he was named to his current post. Prior to Comedy Central, Fox worked at HBO and CBS.

"He's been with Comedy Central from the beginning and is going to share stories and insights on their success," said Patricia Miller, director of the lectures program at Iowa State. "He'll be bringing clips and talking about how they have dealt with a variety of challenges like the controversy of South Park and the incredible success of Jon Stewart."
