Renee owners to speak at Iowa State's Entrepreneur Forum Oct. 28AMES, Iowa -- The founders of K. Renee, an upscale women's clothing store, will speak on "Fashioning a Business" at noon Friday, Oct. 28, in the Pioneer Room, Memorial Union, Iowa State University. Jeff and Kelli Schulz, Gladbrook, started K. Renee in their home in 1988. In 1996, the couple opened the firm's first store in the historic train depot on Main Street in Ames. In 1999, the couple entered the Des Moines area market by opening a store in Governor's Square Mall, West Des Moines. The Entrepreneur Forum, sponsored by the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, is held bi-monthly and features a guest speaker and roundtable discussion. Guest speakers include entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, consultants and other business professionals. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch. No registration is necessary.
