NewsSaturday groundbreaking for ISU Alumni CenterThe ISU Alumni Association will host an official groundbreaking ceremony Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m., on the site of the future ISU Alumni Center on Beach Ave. The groundbreaking will honor Bobbi and Roy Reiman, the lead donors to the project. The entire project will be funded through the private support of ISU friends and alumni. The ISU Alumni Center will accommodate all of the association's staff and programs. Construction will last approximately 18 months, with a scheduled completion date of middle to late 2007. The groundbreaking ceremony will feature speakers from across the university and alumni communities, and give attendees the opportunity to sneak a peek at the plans for the new building. Individuals interested in making gifts to the facility or learning about naming a space in honor of a family member should contact Jeff Johnson with the Alumni Association at jjohnson@alumni.iastate.edu or Dan Saftig with the ISU Foundation at dsaftig@iastate.edu.
