NewsBowen named executive director of Iowa Lakeside LabBonnie Bowen, a member of the ISU faculty since 1995, has been named executive director at Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, Milford. Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, an educational facility on 140 acres on West Lake Okoboji, is operated cooperatively by the three Regents universities -- Iowa State, the University of Iowa, and the University of Northern Iowa. 'Murderball'star to campus Oct. 18Mark Zupan, one of the stars of "Murderball" will speak on campus Oct. 18. The movie "Murderball" is about members of the U.S. Paralympic rugby team that won a bronze medal in the 2004 Paralympic games in Athens, Greece. Breakfast fundraiser to benefit Albright memorial fundFrom 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 8, Alpha Gamma Rho members will serve waffles, flavored syrups, sausage and beverages at their fraternity house, 201 Gray Ave. The cost is $5 per person or $4 in advance. All money raised will go to a memorial fund for Andrew "Ardie" Albright, an ISU sophomore and fraternity member who was killed in a Sept. 13 car accident.
