Three SBDC directors recognized for 20 years of service to Iowa's small businesses

AMES, Iowa -- Three center directors with the Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC), an outreach unit of Iowa State University's College of Business, were recently honored for 20 years of service to Iowa's small businesses.

Paul Heath, director of the University of Iowa SBDC, Iowa City; Bryan Ziegler, director of the Indian Hills Community College SBDC, Ottumwa; and Richard Petersen, director of the North Iowa Area Community College SBDC, Mason City, were recognized recently at a statewide meeting in Urbandale.

All three have individually helped thousands of Iowa businesses and entrepreneurs with counseling and educational training.

"These individuals have assisted Iowa's entrepreneurs in growing our economy with new businesses, expanded businesses, new jobs and stronger communities," said Jon Ryan, SBDC state director. "They deserve the thanks of all Iowans for jobs well done."
