Local Small Business Development Center changes name, moves to Urbandale

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Des Moines, which serves Polk, Dallas, Jasper, Marion and Warren counties, has moved to 10861 Douglas Ave, Suite B, Urbandale, 50322. The center, which had been near Drake University, now is called the Mid Iowa Small Business Development Center.

The center provides professional counseling for owners and would-be owners of small- and mid-size businesses, educational workshops, training programs and business assistance. It also offers specialized programs such as the Grow Your Small Market Farm program and the Smart Start workshops.

The SBDC is an outreach unit of Iowa State University's College of Business.
