Two CEOS tapped to join ISU Greenlee School of Journalism advisory council

AMES, Iowa -- Judith Clabes, president and chief executive officer of the Scripps Howard Foundation, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Wes Ehrecke, a 1977 ISU alumnus and president of the Iowa Gaming Association, West Des Moines, will join the advisory council of Iowa State University's Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication.

Clabes' and Ehrecke's council terms will begin in fall 2005, Greenlee School Director Michael Bugeja announced. The Greenlee School advisory council unanimously approved Ehrecke and Clabes for membership at its April 15 meeting.

Clabes was editor for The Kentucky Post, Covington, Ky., for 13 years and editor of The Sunday Courier and Post, Evansville, Ind., before joining the Scripps Howard Foundation.

Ehrecke was named president of the Iowa Gaming Association in April 2000. He also has served as executive vice-president and CEO of the Minnesota Bankers Association. He is originally from Durant.

"We're delighted and honored to have Clabes and Ehrecke as members of our advisory council," Bugeja said.
