Clear Lake, will be the guest speaker for Iowa State University's Reiman Entrepreneurial Speaker Series. The event is 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, Sun Room, Memorial Union. It is free and open to the public. Kingland will talk on "My Journey as an Entrepreneur." He created his firm in 1992 when regional banks began to enter the retail brokerage business and required compliance and trading systems to support their geographically diverse branches. He founded Kingland Capital Corporation in 1985 and served as president and chief executive officer. The firm focused on bank-based, full-service retail brokerage business. Kingland has a bachelor's degree in industrial administration from Iowa State and has earned several New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers brokerage licenses.
