KRAVINSKY TO LEAD ISU's COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCES CAREER SERVICES OFFICE
AMES, Iowa -- Steve Kravinsky, director of Iowa State University's Colleges of Business and Liberal Arts and Sciences Career Services Office, has been named director of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) Career Services.
Kravinsky will continue to direct the combined office until Jan. 1, 2004. When the College of Business moves to its new location in the Gerdin Business Building next year, the LAS and Business Career Services offices will operate independently. Kravinsky will direct the LAS Career Services Office, which will move into Catt Hall sometime in 2004. Kathryn Wieland will direct the Business Career Services Office in the Gerdin Business Building.
Kravinsky has served as director of the joint office since 1992. He has also served as director of career services at the University of Arizona, Cleveland State University and Eastern Michigan University. He is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the World Cooperative Education and Internship Association, Cooperative Education and Internship Association, the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, and the Rocky Mountain Association of Colleges and Employers, among others.
A 2002 recipient of the Regents P&S Award for Excellence, Kravinsky holds a bachelor's of business administration degree from Western Michigan University and a master of science degree from Indiana University.
