IOWA STATE TEAM COMPETES IN NATIONAL FOOD SCIENCE COLLEGE BOWL
AMES, Iowa -- A team of students from Iowa State University's Food Science Club is competing in the National Institute of Food Technologists' Food Science College Bowl competition at the IFT annual meeting, June 23-27, in New Orleans.
This is the first Iowa State team to compete in the national Food Science College Bowl. The team became eligible after winning the north central region's competition held in March in Ames. Iowa State will compete against five other university teams.
The Food Science Club is in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. Professor Anthony Pometto and associate professor Mark Love, team advisers, are traveling with the team.
David Stevenson, a food science and human nutrition graduate student from New Zealand, is captain of the team. Other members of the college bowl team and their hometowns are listed below.
