UNIVERSITY HOLDS COMPUTER LAB OPEN HOUSE, TREE DEDICATION

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State's University Village will have a new computer lab open house and tree dedication on Thursday, Oct. 5.

The event will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in 100 University Village, the site of the new computer lab. Richard Seagrave, interim president of Iowa State, will speak.

The new lab, the first at University Village, will feature 30 computers available for use by residents of the student apartment complex. The lab will feature 30 computers.

There also will be a dedication of a tree planted near the new UV playground in honor of Carl Moen, former associate director of residence in charge of student apartments. Moen retired last year after 28 year with the residence department.
