  • Richard Mansbach, professor of political science: Can speak on foreign policy, international and national security and international politics.   • Kim Greder, assistant professor, human development and family studies and family life Extension specialist: Can speak on issues related to talking with children about war, how to address children's and young adults' concerns about war, age-appropriate dialogue and support for family members who have been deployed.   • Robert Baum, associate professor of philosophy and religious studies: Can speak on African religions and politics, Islam and politics, and minorities and politics.   • Catherine Woteki, dean of the College of Agriculture: Can speak on efforts to protect Iowa's agriculture and the nation's food supply.   • Harley Moon, distinguished professor of veterinary medicine: Can speak on food security issues and deliberate attacks against agriculture and the food system.   • Helen Jensen, professor of economics and head of the Food and Nutrition Policy Division of ISU's Center for Agricultural and Rural Development: Can speak on food security issues. Research focuses on food programs and policies, including food safety. Specializes in food security and the economics of food safety and food hazard control options.   • James Roth, professor of veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine: Can speak on biological agents used by terrorists. Executive director of the Institute for International Cooperation in Animal Biologics, an organization formed to improve animal health and productivity through use of biologics to control animal disease.   • Young Kihl, professor of political science: Can speak on Korea nuclear and security issues. Kihl, who is Korean, specializes in Asian and Korean Peninsula issues.   • John Eighmey, professor and chair of the Greenlee School of Journalism: Can speak on military recruitment. Current member of a National Academy of Sciences committee conducting a multi-year project on military recruiting. The committee published a book in January, 2003, titled "Attitudes, Aptitudes and Aspirations of American Youth: Implications for Military Recruitment." A second book on program evaluation concepts and methods for military advertising and recruiting campaigns is in progress. The work focuses on the interests, values and aptitudes of American youth and the implications for recruiting and advertising programs needed to sustain the all-volunteer force.
