How to Design a Web Site

Before you can create a web site, you need to decide how your site is going to be used. Will it be an educational, business, or entertainment site? Will you have a collection of pages or will all of your information be contained on one long page? Answering these questions will give you an idea of how to structure your site and how to choose appropriate colors and graphics.

First Question: Will your site be an educational site, a business site, or an entertainment site?

There are different guidelines to follow with each type of site. A site that is educational will tend to emphasize content rather than emphasize the flash and graphics that often accompany entertainment sites.
