SE/30

I found my SE/30 at the MPC Garage Sale for $4 (!). I actually bought another one, got it home and found that the hard drive had been removed and the floppy drive wasn't working. I paid $7.50 for that one. I ran back to the sale and managed to get one from someone who was buying the rest. The broken one is now fixed and at work where it will shortly be a file server. I really wanted an SE/30 due to it's great upgradability. It can hold up to 128MB of RAM and can run up to MacOS 7.5.5. Both of my SE/30's came with 8MB of RAM and are running system 7.0.1 and 7.1.x. Because they have Black and white screens, and older applications tend to take less RAM, they actually seem to run faster than my Performa and the IIsi. This is another of my favorites, but it doesn't have a keyboard, mouse, or it's own power cord, yet (I bought both power cords at our local Beacon, and will have to wait until the next garage sale to fit this one out).

Update - this little machine has been update to an 80 MB hard drive, but is not in general use since I moved into a new apartment.
