My Hobbies
My main hobbies
throughout the years have been dancing, 4-H, caring for animals, and being in
band.
Dancing
I have been dancing
for almost 16 years now. I took classes at the local dance studio from the time
I was 3 until I graduated high school. I was part of my high school’s dance
team for 3 years. Last semester I was in Orchesis II and took a ballet class.
4-H
For 4-H, I showed
horses, rabbits, poultry, and did art hall entries for the Lee County Fair. I
also showed rabbits at the state fair. I was the secretary, vice-president, and
historian of my club. I was involved for 9 years.
Band
I started playing
flute in 5th grade. I now also play piccolo and some piano. In
middle school, I auditioned for SEIBA honor band and was accepted. Throughout
high school, I auditioned for SEIBA and All-State honor bands, and I was
accepted to SEIBA my senior year. I was in both the concert and marching bands
at my high school. I am now in the concert band at Iowa State.
