Colonel Paul L. Ladd, USMC
Colonel
Ladd was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1976.
Colonel Ladd has served with seven different Navy Fleet and Fleet Marine Force units in
both the Atlantic and Pacific. He has commanded Headquarters Company, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine
Division; Truck Company, 3d Marine Division; and 7th Motor Transport
Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group.
Colonel
Ladd's staff tours include 8th Motor Transport Battalion, 2d Force
Service Support Group; 9th Motor Transport Battalion, 3d Force
Service Support Group; 6th Marine Regiment; 2d Marine Division;
United States Army Tank-Automotive Command; III Marine Expeditionary Force; 1st
Force Service Support Group; I Marine Expeditionary Force; Supreme Allied
Command Atlantic; and the 2d U.S. Navy Fleet.
Colonel Ladd is a graduate of The Basic School; the Motor Transport Officers Course;
United States Army Transportation Officer’s Advanced Course, the Amphibious
Warfare Course; the Department of Defense Systems Management College Program
Manager’s Course; the Marine Corps Command and Staff College; the inaugural
class of the School of Advanced Warfighting; the Advanced Logistics Officers
Course; U. S. Naval War College; and numerous NATO planning courses.
He holds a Batchelor of Arts degree in Business Management; a Master of
Business Administration (Logistics) degree from the Florida Institute of
Technology; and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from
the Naval War College.
Colonel Ladd’s decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious
Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (with Gold Star), the Navy
Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, and numerous unit awards.
