My name
is Michael Tlach, and I am from Britt, IA, which is a small town in North
Central Iowa. I grew up on a farm with three other siblings: two
older sisters and one younger brother. My mom is a secretary for the
State Farm Office in town, and my dad is a County Supervisor along with
farming 1,000 acres and taking care of a heard of 60 cows. In high
school, I was involved in around five different clubs and I participated in
three sports: football, wrestling, and track. I also showed calves
and pigs at my county fair and The Iowa State Fair. I am
currently in my second semester at Iowa State majoring in Mechanical
Engineering. I am involved with The Engineering Ambassador and Mentor
Program, which gives daily tours of the engineering department, and I am my
house's Intramural Chair. I participate in intramurals myself and
attend as many sporting events as possible.
