Landed at Baltimore, traveled to Chicago and moved on to Ackley. Settled near Wellsburg, Iowa. Members of St. Peters Church near Cleves, Iowa.
Bouka (Bertha) was married to Eilert Schwans. They had two daughers, Anna and Johanna.
After Eilert passed away, Bouka married his brother John. They were the parents of Lena, Fred and John.
Came to America in 1865 and settled near Garnivillo, Iowa.
Homesteaded near Emery, South Dakota in 1881.
