Pet(s)![MCj04381270000[1]](Pet_files/image002.gif)
I do not take care of
any pets at the moment. Back home on the farm, my family does have some. One is my family’s 12 year old collie. His name is Sparky,
and we bought him off our parish picnic auction, when my brother was around 5
years old. It was
well worth it because he has been a great companion for
everyone, especially my younger brother. We live on a farm, so Sparky is free
to roam wherever he pleases. He usually goes out all night with our neighbor’s
dog to roam the countryside. He usually comes home with burrs, or stickers, in
his fur, which we then have to try and comb out. This is why he gets frequent,
disastrous, haircuts. Sparky is a character. He delightfully decides to bring
around dead animals every so often to set on the front patio. He also won’t eat
in front of you. He waits until you are in the house and a little after, to
demolish it.
There are a couple of stray cats
that hang around our house. We don’t want them, especially not my mom, but they
stick around anyway for the scraps of food they can find.
My dad is a cattleman,
so I guess we have numerous amounts of cattle as ‘pets’. They take a lot of my
dad’s time as he raises them, so I feel they fit in this category.
