Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Michael is a veteran of the armed forces. He served honorably in both the Army and Air Force as a Flight Mechanic on the Bell UH-1H Huey and Sikorski H-60 Blackhawk helicopters and as a Flight Engineer on the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter aircraft. He has a degree in (MIS) Management Information Systems and is currently an employee at Iowa State University. He enjoys traveling abroad, scuba diving, guns, RC aircraft, astronomy, photography, and the occasional drink of good whiskey.

Born in San Carlos City, Philippines, Lorna has traveled many miles away from home and family to live here in the U.S. She is a Co-owner of a small store in the Philippines and a Crew Trainer here at a popular Burger King Restaurant. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys movies, sewing, cooking and gardening.
Born in Ames, Iowa, Rosita joined our family weighing in at 3.175 kg (7.0 lbs. even) and measured 49.53 cm (19.5 inches). She is very quiet and is a bundle of joy to hold. She enjoys swimming, dogs, horses and school.
Born in Ames, Iowa, Patches is basically Lorna's pet bird. He is a Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) whose species originates in Australia. He enjoys chewing anything shiny and playing with humans.
Born in Charles City, Iowa, Maggie a Boston Terrier is basically Rosita's pet. Still a puppy, she enjoys chewing anything and loves to cuddle.
Born somewhere in Iowa, Ibon was our first family pet. He is a single Peach-faced Lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis) that we acquired from a local pet shop. His species originates in Africa. He enjoyed climbing curtains, squawking and taking baths in Patches cage. Later in life he enjoyed cuddling under a towel and his Lafeber Nutriberries treats.
To our little Ibon... You will be forever in our hearts and we will miss you!
We think an immigrant from Thailand, Bubbles was Rosita's pet fish. He was a male Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens), native to Southeast Asia. He loved to flare his fins and shadow box.
Unfortunately, Bubbles decided to leave us. May you rest in good peace.
