R Programming

I have been using R to perform statistical and simulation analysis since 2005. R is a flexible open source object oriented programming language with wonderful graphing abilities. The learning curve was steep, however it was well worth the time investment. I have given several brown bag demonstrations (1-2 hours) to various groups at ISU-NREM and a 1.5 day course I developed as a continuing education course for the Iowa Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. This continuing education course, "Routine fisheries analysis" was developed based on Guy and Brown (2007) Analysis and interpretation of freshwater fisheries data.
