Instructions for Authors
submitting manuscripts for the Print Version of Marina Mesopotamica

 1. Marina Mesopotamica publishes articles in the various fields of marine sciences, particularly biology, chemistry, geology, physics and fisheries. Contributions submitted for publication will be refereed and should fall within the following:

2. Articles should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

3. Manuscripts may be submitted either in Arabic or in English, accompanied by an abstract in both languages.

4. Manuscripts may be submitted in three copies (including the original), typed in double spacing with no less than 2.5 cm margins. If possible, present the final version of your manuscript on a floppy disk.

5. Weights and measures should be expressed in metric units according to the "Systeme Internationale (SI)."

6. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively, with a descriptive caption on separate sheets. Tables should fit into one column (not more than 64 characters per line). Figures should be of a quality suitable for direct reproduction.* Graphs should be drawn with Indian ink on a tracing paper.

7. References should be listed at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order according to the following examples:

Salman, S. D. and Ahmed, T.E. 1998. Podocerus brasiliensis (Dana) (Amphipoda) new to the Iraqi coastal waters of the Arabian Gulf. Marina Mesopotamica 13(2): 243-249.
