Actually, scanning these slides in was quite a project: the scanner to which I have access is one of those wayward types which have quite a mind of their own. As a result, I started scanning in these slides some time in September, and almost gave up soon after that! However a recent conversation with yet another shutterbug rekindled that old project and new ideas, so I decided to look into removing those scanner effects. [Hey, my primary professional interest is, after all, the statistical analysis of images!] In doing so, I have lost some resolution, but well, so it goes!
These slides were all shot using a Canon AE-1 camera with a Tokina 28mm-200mm f/3.5-5.3 lens SZ-X282. Film speed was Kodak 100 ASA, and processing was by Kodalux.
For the record, I did not travel all that much last summer. Just went to Pittsburgh and its surroundings, including Ohiopyle, almost the whole of Upper Peninsula [Michigan], San Diego, Santa Barbara, Atlanta, Dallas and finally Ottawa, Canada. I did not shoot at Dallas, but I got shot there accepting an award.

More pictures, especially on the trips not here, will be put up later. For those who wondered what I did during the week last summer, some of the items here may provide clues.
