Month #15

October 25, 2004

My last appointment was on October 12.  Only three months to go, and I had to open my big mouth and complain about a few teeth.  I realized later it would only prolong my treatment.  Oh well - I'd rather take a few more months to get it right than take the braces off before everything is as good as it'll get.  But really, who knows?  I might be right on schedule. Anyway, my right lateral was tilting inward too far so Dr. Wass attached a wire tie and pulled it back out a bit.  He handed a mirror and asked "How's that?"  Ouch.  Hurting, that's how it was.  It did look a bit better.  Then with my lowers, I complained about my lower right lateral and my right canine... they both looked "higher" to me.  So he tied the lower right lateral with a wire tie and another "ouch" later, they hooked me back up with ligatures.  I really hope that I don't have much longer.  I know that 18 months is getting off pretty easy, but I don't want to be macho about it and go longer.   My lowers look a bit crooked in this picture, but I think it's just the wire.  They are really pretty straight.

Braces at 15 months

Above: Braces at 15 months - 3 more to go!  Take a look at that greenish powerchain!  That's what I get for eating crazy food.
