Happy Birthday to my braces!  They turned 1 year old on July 18.  The year has gone by so quickly, and before I know it, my braces will be off and I'll be sporting a first-class smile. :)

I had an adjustment yesterday, and for the first time in a long time, my teeth hurt.  My two front teeth were off just a bit from each other, so Dr. Wass put a kink in my wire and put it back in.  And presto!  Instant discomfort.   Hopefully my front teeth will cooperate and butt up against each other like they're supposed to! (you can sort of see the kink in the second photo below)

And to top it all off, I went to the dentist last night.  Wait, haven't I been through that before?  Why, yes!  Poor planning on my part.  I don't know if I have any cavities (so far I don't have any!), because they won't take X-rays until I get my braces off.
