I've taken a much longer time updating this page than I anticipated, but nevertheless, here is a picture from my 11 month in braces!  Things are fantastic and I haven't had any major problems.  As you can see, I went for the patriotic look and chose red, white and blue ligatures.  Since I had one of my lower centrals pulled, the whole red/white/blue thing works out really well - no overlapping of colors!

My elastics are doing fine and I only wear them at bedtime.  There are some nights when I put them in and they feel really tight, and other nights it doesn't feel like much at all.  I guess it proves that my teeth are still on the move.

Eating continues to be a challenge at times - my least favorite foods are rice and spaghetti.  They seem to be the best (out of the things I eat) at getting caught in and twisted around my brackets.  But on the other hand, I've started biting into soft things, and I'm so tickled every time by the perfect crescent my teeth leave behind.  It's the small things, I guess. :)

I think I was tilting my head - that's why the picture is sort of crooked. :)
