Sports have always been a big part of my life. It’s the reason I someday hope to become a sports marketer. Growing up I played softball and hockey but once I got into high school I had to choose. I figured I would have a better future coming out of Texas as a softball player than a hockey player, so I went with that. It was obviously the right decision because now I am playing on the Iowa State softball team. My number is 23 and I’m a pitcher. My sister played softball at the University of Missouri from 2002-2006. It’s an honor to follow in her footsteps of being a Big 12 athlete. My brother in law played basketball at the University of Missouri as well and is currently playing Pro- Basketball overseas with the Uruguayan national team. My dad played baseball and basketball in college and my other sister played all sorts of sports growing up. My brother is still deciding on what sport to concentrate on but he hopes to continue on to play in college as well.
