On Genealogy . . .
- I maintain genealogical records about Jesse Hodges (1754-1842) of Virginia
and Tennessee and his descendants. Let me know if this is of interest to you.
- Naomi "Spike" Barber. Naomi Barber, nicknamed "Spike," was a young woman
apparently living in Somerville, Massachusetts (probably on Pembroke Street)
in the late 1920s and early 1930s. If alive, she would now be over 100.
I do not know of any married name for her. I have two nice professional
photographs of her and a silhouette, together with other information which I
would like to share with her or her descendants or relatives in case they
don't have them.
Miscellaneous . . .
| I teach in Physics Hall ("Old Physics"), where the first
electronic digital computer, the
Atanasoff-Berry_Computer,
was built in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
The diagram to the right shows the ABC in operation.
