Camarones al Mojo
de Ajo (Garlic Shrimp)

lb of raw medium size shrimp
·
3
whole garlic cloves
·
10
minced garlic cloves
·
¾
tsp of salt
·
¾
tsp of black pepper
·
¾
tsp of white vinegar
·
3
tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
·

tbsp of butter
·

fresh lime
Remove the shell from the
shrimp. In a blender, puree the whole
garlic cloves, salt, pepper, vinegar, and olive oil. Add to uncooked shrimp and let it stand for
20-30 minutes. In a skillet heat up the
butter and add the minced garlic; Sauté the garlic until golden brown. Add the
shrimp and lower heat. Cook until shrimp
are pink in color. Remove from stove and
sprinkle with lime juice.

with Spanish white rice and vegetables if desired.
