U.S. Latino Studies might be your ticket to success in a changing job market. Latinos, now numbering some 30 million, include Mexican Americans, Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans and other groups of people living in the United States who trace their roots to the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America.

Within a few years, Latinos are expected to become the largest ethnic "minority" in America, and so today's college students need to know how their life will change because of the dramatic growth of this population group. Just a few examples:

v     Many large firms are looking for people who know how to market to Latinos

v     Health care professionals need to know more about the health care needs and practices of Latinos

v     Many law enforcement institutions want officers who can relate to Latinos and other ethnic groups
