HOUSING/REGISTRATION FOR INVITED SPEAKERS

Invited speakers may be housed at the Bolger Center and should contact Steve Woodruff about housing arrangements at swoodruf@email.usps.gov.

REGULAR ATTENDEES HOUSING AT USPS Bolger Center

Regular attendees from out of town need to call the Bolger center housing facility at least a month in advance to reserve a standard room at $119/day (rates went up Jan 1, 2001). This amount also includes meals, coffee, and misc snacks at the Center.

  1. call hotel at number given: 301-983-7006.
  2. mention the Small Area Estimation Conference and the date (April 11-14, three nights).
  3. give block code -- the "Block Code" for our event is 0104SMA.
  4. say non USPS employee -- see this link for the reason.
  5. now give the hotel your credit card data.
    The Bolger center accepts payment on Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Diner's Club. However, it does not take Discover.

Reserve a room well in advance to be certain of getting one. Reservations after March 20 are on a space available basis only.

NOTES ON HOUSING -- SPOUSES AND CHILDREN

April is pretty nice in the DC area so some out-of-towners may want to bring family. The standard rooms available for regular attendees are for singles only. The convention facility is designed as a training center for Postal Corporate employees alone - without their families. Attendees wanting to stay off campus should arrange their own accommodations.
