The United States Postal Service will sponsor an international conference on small-area estimation and related topics in Potomac, Maryland, during April 11-14, 2001. The National Center for Health Statistics, Gallup Organization, Research Triangle Institute, U.S. Bureau of the Census, and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics have tentatively agreed to co-sponsor the conference. There will be both invited paper sessions and a poster session on different theoretical and applied aspects of small-area estimation and related problems.
