Grading: This is a non-credit class graded “satisfactory” or “fail”. To pass, you must attain a 72% average on all your class work. The distribution of points is as follows:

 

Homework:            75 (15x 5)

Quizzes:                 125 (5x 25)

ALEKS:                  100 (4x 25)

Exams:                    400 (4x 100)

Final:                      200

Total:                     900

 

Homework: Homework assignments will be posted on the website and collected at the beginning of class on Tuesdays and Fridays. Homework WILL NOT be accepted late. There are 5 points worth of homework each week.

 

Attendance: You are responsible for being in class every day. Coming to class on a regular basis is vital to doing well in this class.

 

Quizzes: There are six quizzes scheduled over the semester. The five highest will counted for 25 points each. Quizzes cannot be made up afterwards.

 

Calculators: Graphing calculators are NOT permitted in this class. Calculators without graphing capabilities may be used on homework/quizzes/tests, etc.
