Then at 3:50 pm I started to think about how to put up the wall that the student council wanted up in one piece that was the 70 ft wall at the back of the gym. That was the problem cause that wall would not be able to go up in one piece. We did not have enough roof to raise it that high and in one piece. I told the class President ,which was Stephanie Wille, "that the 70ft wall was not going to be able to be put up in one piece, because of the weight." Then we decided to put it up in two sections.
That wall was the killer it took along time to put up, but once we got one side up then the rest of the wall went fast. That is all we accomplished before the concert that same night. So the whole time we were working on the back wall it was rush to get the wall up before the concert. When I was working after school on the wall. Jon Romelton and Julie Frieden (two of the sponsors')were there helping out on getting the wall up in time. Romelton was the main help for that night and the next day of decorating. Julie Frieden stayed after the concert to supervise the decorating for a little bit. Jeff Recker showed up later after the concert to supervise the decorating.
That night was the worst night I have ever had! That was because of my back condition. I have what they call a fallen arch. I was on my feet for most of the day and at night until midnight that night. What we got done that night was the other two walls and got a start on the tunnels that were suppose to be were you walk in to the gym. Right after the concert, the gym was cleared of the chairs in the gym and the start of the decorating that night began. Jane Page who is a secretary for the principal who is Ed Berry. She is one of the sponsors for Prom 2003.
It took us a long time to get one of the walls on the side of the gym up, because of the people that were working on the wall. They would not listen to what I had to say. That is what you call a hearing problem. I said a twisty tie on the top and on the bottom just above the wall frame, but the people that were working on that wall did not decipher what I wanted to have done with the wall since I was the "engineer" for the project.
After I found someone that understood what I wanted to have done it moved a lot better, and faster for everyone that was working on the wall that night. It went well, we had our moments and then we had our accidents and mishaps during the prom building. Most of the people that were working in the gym were part of the committee to work, but some of the people were just there to help out anyway they could. Which was a needed instance. We needed all the people that would want to help out all that they could.
That was all that we got done that night. The main wall and one side wall was up, and we got a feeling on how we were going to put up the ceiling and also the other wall.

The picture is of a worker that was working that night and next morning.
