One of my assignments for German 101 was to write about my weekend. This is one of the best examples of my work towards being able to communicate in a foreign language, a skill I feel will become absolutely necessary in the coming years.
We live in an increasingly global world. A place where communication across the globe is near instantaneous and virtually free. Because of this everyone will have to learn how to better cope with this. For my part I am learning German, and as this short and simple 'essay' shows I still have a long way to go. But that is the path that I have chosen and believe will serve me best in the future.
