The MS50 is a Kratos made mass spectrometer, normal geometry doule focusing E-B, with the upper mass limit of 2000 amu at full accelerating voltage (8kV). This machine is mainly used for high resolution measurement electron impact HIRES/EI experiments and low resolution fast atom bombardment FAB LORES/FAB. 10,000 resolving power is used day to day for HIRES/EI. Aquisition data system uses DS90 software while data processing is handled by MACH3 software. Manual peak matching HIRES/FAB and HIRES/CI are currently under development.
