We work in a wide spectrum of areas, staring from fundamental research with photophysical studies like electron, proton or energy transfer of different molecules of biological and medicinal importance, like Hypericin and Curcumin etc, which has antidepressant, anti-tumor, anti-cancer properties. We have been dedicated in study of a special class of compounds known as “Room Temperature Ionic Liquids” (RTILs), which are known as “green solvents” and has a tremendous application in analytical and industrial world. For a long time we have been exploring ultrafast dynamics in protein environments. Recently we have become involved in developing sensitive devices for the detection of environmental contaminants, in particular for use in food safety and health applications. |
