"Objectives of this course are threefold: (1) to explore computer modeling techniques using AutoCAD, (2) to learn basic skills of rendering, and (3) methods of constructing Web pages.

This course teaches concepts of computational media used in design. The concepts are organized as a series of exercises to be carried out directly on the computers. Each exercise will progressively introduce more advanced issues in design, and their corresponding computing applications.

The goal of this course is to train students to use CAD software, to get an overall understanding of CAD, and ultimately to develop programming skills. This course will also teach students to manipulate computers as design tools. "
