About Me

My name is Joshua Cardenzana. I am currently a first year graduate student in the Physics & Astronomy Department at Iowa State University. My main interest is in astronomy. I TA an introductory astronomy course (Astro 120 and/or Astro 150 and/or Astro 125L) which serves as an introduction to the solar system/Astronomy in general.

I grew up in southwest Missouri in a small town called Reeds Spring (pop. 500 or something like that). I have 3 older brothers and a younger sister. I was pretty active in High School (band, choir, cross country, track, NHS, and a part-tiime job) before graduating in 2005.

As an undergraduate I attended Missouri S&T (formerly the University of Missouri-Rolla). In college I focused my non-academic activities to organizations related to the residence halls (RHA, NRHH, and other hall governments). I graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. I also met Amy, my fiance, while I was there.

That pretty much sums up my life, except for all the little interesting bits like trips and fun things I like to do.
