AREAS OF INTEREST

In addition to teaching activities, which I love, I want to conduct research in soil science, especially in nutrient dynamics and management, fertilizer use, manure application, plant nutrition, and crop productivity. I am also interested in conducting research in environmental science from an agronomic approach.

CURRENT RESEARCH

The ongoing projects are focused on soil fertility, with emphasis on the effects of tillage, corn stover harvest, fertilizer N rate, and the use of winter rye cover crop on soil N cycling, corn and soybean productivity, and optimum N rate for corn production in Iowa.
