Quizzes

 300pts

 You will have about 11 quizzes, worth 30 points each, typically on Friday unless there is a scheduled test.  I will take 10 best quizzes grades.  Quizzes will be based on the homework problems and the material discussed in the class.

Homework

 

 There are suggested problems. I will not collect all of them, however it will be a very good practice to do these problems

 There will be three 50 minutes exams, worth 100 points each.

 Cutoffs for letter grades will be determined from the resulting distribution of scores, but in no event will be worse than 90%/80%/70%/60%.

 

Course polices:

 1. Calculators: A graphing calculator is recommended. However calculators may not be allowed on exams or quizzes. 

 2. Make-up: You should notify me in advance if you need to miss a test or a quiz so that we can schedule a make-up time. If an emergency causes you to miss a test, you must contact me as soon as possible in order to be able to make up the test.  In all cases, you must provide official documentations describing the nature of your circumstance.

 3. Show your all work in quizzes, and exams for your credit.

 4. Turn off cell phones during class.
