| Frame/Structures: The frame has been taken apart, painted, and reassembled with all new bolts. Fairing: The nose cone idea has been mostly scrapped at this point. The fiberglass turned out rougher than expected and it is somewhat flimsy. Coroplast is going to be used instead for the majority of the fairing since it is simpler to shape and it will take less time since we have so little time remaining before competition. The tail section of the fairing is mostly finished, only requiring braces (if needed) and attachment to the frame. The middle section is also partially finished. The Coroplast has been cut and bent to shape. A few notches and modifications will need to be made before the two halves can be joined together. Drive Train: No changes. Controls: The rear brakes are still not functional. The speedometer also needs to be attached. |
