For all of you who don't know me, my name is Jeni Maiers. I grew up in a small town named Earlville (Iowa). I have three sisters, a brother, and seven nieces and nephews. I spent my first thirteen years on a farm until we moved to town when I was in eighth grade.

After high school, I attended Iowa State University where I received a degree in Advertising. After college, I spent two years at a newspaper in Vinton, IA. I was in charge of laying out the two papers, Hawkeye Racing News and Collectors Journal. I also spent a considerable amount of time designing racecar and antique ads. During the winter of 2002, I decided to go back to school to receive my teaching certificate in secondary education - English. Along with my certificate, I am also receiving a minor in educational technology - which I am enjoying immensely.

My interests and hobbies include reading Dean Koontz novels and young adult fiction. I love video games - PlayStation (Twisted Metal 2 is the best game ever), Nintendo (Super Mario World is still the best), and I have just started to play with the Nintendo GameCube. I like taking photos and designing things on the computer. I collect anything that has to do with Snoopy and the Peanuts. I love cartoons and anime including Dexter; Ed, Edd, & Eddy, PowerPuff Girls, Angry Beavers, Kim Possible, Recess, and all the anime shows on Adult Swim (except InuYasha).
